What do I feed the new puppy?

  1. Provide good quality food and treats. Visit our page for Nutrition and order products we use and recommend. ​  ​​

Do Aussies shed?

  1. Yes, they do. Regular brushing is the best method to combat shedding. ​ Be sure to use a brush for a dog with a double coat as aussies have. Be gentle and take your time. It should be a pleasant experience that your dog will grow to love.  ​​

What Basic Commands do we recommend to begin teaching a puppy?

How often should I bathe our puppy?

  1. Only when your puppy needs a bath. You will know! We recommend using the Revitalizing Shampoo from Life's Abundance. We love this shampoo and it can be ordered by clicking on the "Order Food" tab in the left column. Just look under the Pet Care products section.

What method of Potty Training should we use? 

When you start to house train, follow these steps:
  1. Keep the puppy on a regular feeding schedule and take away his food between meals.
  2. Take puppy out to eliminate first thing in the morning and then once every 30 minutes to an hour. ...

  4. Always take your puppy out to potty after a play session with it.

How does Weston Family Farms Raise Puppies?

Puppy House---Puppies are born in our home and kept there until they are strong enough to be moved into our climate controlled area outside with their mother.

Potty Box Area --We begin the portty training process early on. This is an example of the beginning stage.

At an age appropriate time, puppies are given grass time outside of their "home" area each day. Additionally, willing puppies are regularly carted around by our sons in wagons, bikes, and dump trucks.
