Health Assurances

All puppies receive age appropriate vaccines at their 6 week birthday, and at 9 and 12 weeks if they are still in our care. New owners are responsible for additonal puppy boosters once the puppy is in their care. At Weston Family Farms, we keep our puppies 7-8 weeks before each one is entrusted to its new owner. We follow a routine schedule of parasite prevention for our puppies beginning at 2-3 weeks of age. New owners should follow a routine schedule as recommeded by a veterinarian.

Our health guarantee covers any untreatable, genetic disease or defect that may take the puppy's life within the first two years. Health guarantee does not cover any parasite, internal or external as this is a treatable condition.

All of our new puppy family are provided with a health information page that includes health managment and vaccinations that the puppy has received in our care. The information page also includes reminders for health care within the puppy's first year. Additionally, once the deposit is received the "New Puppy Packet" will be sent to you via e-mail. This packet contains basic care information to transition puppy to your home.

All puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian and have their tails docked and dew claws removed within 1 week of age.

Our breeding sire has been tested and cleared for hereditary genetic diseases including eye defects that may cause potential eye disease, MDR1, and others on the full 9 test panel for mini aussies. Our females have been tested or are cleared by parentage for the same tests.

We have had no significant health issues or diseases occur in any of our adult dogs. We are proud to say that we truly keep our dogs healthy and well loved. Each of our dogs follow a monthly routine program for prevention of internal and external parasites. We encourage all pet owners to develop a health and wellness program with their veterinarian.
 
General Information

All puppies/adult dogs are sold as PET ONLY. If you are interested in breeding rights for an additional fee with the intital purchase of your dog please share that request with us.

Weston Family Farms advocates spaying/neutering of dogs before the dog's eight month birthday unless breeding rights are purchased. Our veterinarian recommends spaying or neutering at 5-6 months old for puppies. 

Breed Information (according to American Stock Dog Registry)

MINIATURE: Height for both male and female is 14 inches up to 18 inches at the top of withers.

TOY: Height for both male and female is 10 inches up to 14 inches at the top of the withers.

The height for a Standard Australian Shephard for both male and female is 18 inches up to 23 inches at the top of the withers.
